Respect To THE Croc King

Such a bummer reading about Steve Irwin's death. Yes, he was a bit odd....and yes, he shoud not have fed those alligators while holding his infant.....but he was fun to watch on his nature shows. He brought back to life shows that died when Marlin Perkins passed away. Good old Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.

Many more of these shows have emerged following Steve's success. But he was an original....he was himself.

God bless his spirit.

Wow! What a shocker! You always knew he would probably die doing exactly what he loved to do...and he did.

Remember Terri and their kids right now too.

Unbelievable. :o(

I'm so bummed. His video with Wiggles I could actually watch over and over. Jaden's first sentence was

" CROCS RULE "

'tis very very sad

Amen, brother.

I loved his show and you're right - he was off-the-wall but that didn't matter so much. His passion for what he did and his irrepressible enthusiasm were what I liked best - I will definitely miss him.

YEs I blogged about this too. I think he left this world a better educated one for many adults as well as children. His enthusiasm for wild life will be missed. I felt bad for his two young children whom he adored with all his heart. SO sad to hear that news! : (

Bill, you took the words right out of my mouth. Just the other night I was watching part of Mrs Doubtfire where Robin Williams' character was playing on the set of a boring show about dinosaurs and making it fun to learn. That's what Steve did - made it fun to learn! Crikey, we need more like him! He will be sorely missed...
